The "People" Part
of Economic Development in Newark

Economic development is more than bricks and mortar. In order for the City of Newark to be truly revitalized, its citizens must be fully engaged. Speakers at this Newark Insiders Forum will talk about broad reaching efforts that are underway to empower residents and establish firm bonds that create stronger and more resilient communities throughout Newark. Hear from representatives of government and civic leadership about how these efforts will improve quality of life for all who touch Newark - residents, workers and visitors. Speakers include Mo Butler, Newark Now; Ellen Brown, New Jersey Institute for Social Justice; Maria Vizcarrondo, Newark Department of Child and Family Well-Being and Rodney Brutton, Newark Workforce Investment Board at the City of Newark.
