Whether for profit or non-profit, if your business has fewer than 50 employees, the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act's provisions are different than for larger employers. The Act has ramifications for business decisions beyond those directly related to health insurance plans for employees, such as record-keeping requirements; government filings; business structure; mergers & acquisitions; tax matters and privacy compliance. Every employer should evaluate the new obligations and the new opportunities for its business. The program will provide an overview from the perspective of insurance/employee benefits, accounting, law and health care. It will also explore the new business and entrepreneurial opportunities created by the need for specialized services. Attendees will leave with information and ideas that will assist them in making business decisions and in working with their accounting and legal advisors to ensure compliance with the Act.

Speakers include Agnes Rymer, partner, Saiber LLC; Lew Bivona, partner, Withum Smith & Brown; and Larry Altman, vice president, Office of Health Care Reform, Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of NJ.
