Event Description:
Many of us view our parents, relatives and friends as invincible and forever young. As they age, they and we may have difficulty recognizing when they need assistance, knowing what is needed and where to get it. It is challenging for adult children to take on the role of caregiver and financial overseer. Often neither child nor elder knows the steps that can save a lot of heartache down the road unless the proper steps are taken.

Mr. Couto will focus on the financial/technical side, and his talk will cover core documents that should be in place, including a properly executed durable power of attorney and health care proxy. Ms. Gordon will focus on establishing a “peace of mind” plan to help families care for loved ones with in-home care. Mr. Couto and Ms. Gordon will provide valuable information, no matter what stage of pre-planning, planning or execution.

NRBP provides beverages and dessert; attendees bring a brown bag lunch. Bring plenty of business cards and brochures to network with other business professionals.
