Charter schools are an important part of the strategy for high quality education in Newark and they will also play a key role in promoting economic development in downtown Newark. Teachers’ Village, a project that will transform the neighborhood along Halsey and Market Streets, has at its core a concept for teachers to live, work and recreate in downtown. Speakers include Ron Beit, founding partner and CEO of RBH Group, Janellen Duffy of the Newark Charter School Fund, Brian Keenan, director and president, Real Estate Advisory & Development Services, Steven Burns, partner, Crawford Street Partners, and George Kelley, principal, Langan Engineering and Environmental Services.
